When the AND1 Mixtape Tour stopped in Portland, he and his brother went as fans. There was an open-run tryout. He earned a spot, and forfeited his remaining college eligibility to take it.
By 2009 he was on the front of the tour's own website. Seven seasons of Streetball on ESPN, five AND1 mixtape DVDs, four commercials and a video game later, he had played in over thirty countries.
